A 1.6 million SF mixed-use masterplan constructed above active transit and highway infrastructure at Boston’s Back Bay Station, transforming an underutilized site into a transit-oriented urban district. The project required complex structural coordination over the Massachusetts Turnpike and rail operations, and it advanced through the rigorous BPDA development review process, including extensive public hearings before the Citizens Advisory Committee. The plan integrates office, residential, and retail components with public realm improvements and neighborhood connectivity strategies. Delivery involved substantial stakeholder engagement and iterative documentation to secure approvals.
